Inspired by Twitter

I've finally given in and gotten a twitter account, thanks to a class I'm taking on digital media that has really expanded my view of Twitter and other social media.

I used to think I had no use for a platform that allowed people to announce what they were doing to the world 24/7, regardless of whether anyone was interested. But I've realised that lots of fascinating (and useful!) info is being shared on Twitter all the time, not just what people are having for lunch or if they're in the shower. And it also allows me to connect with all sorts of amazing people that I might never have the chance to meet in real life.

In short, I'm a Twitter convert!

There are so many great design links and resources on Twitter. Here are a few that I've come across recently:

1. Let's Swap (@letsswapit)
Where you can offer your work in exchange for the artwork that's currently up for swap. Right now the featured piece is Good Morning/Good Night, a glow-in-the-dark letterpress print by Dolce Press. Give it a shot!

2. Designspiration (@designspiration)
Good design collected and displayed in a lovely, clean way. This site also has a very cool 'type to search' function!

3. Le Flâneur
A stop-motion video of Paris, set to 'intro' by the xx. 'Nuff said. Created by Luke Shepard.

What cool stuff have you discovered through Twitter?
